Besides being beautiful, our planters are also solidly built. The corners are double reinforced from the outside and inside, while the wood slats are slotted to minimize wood warp. The base is also double framed to support the weight of shrubs or larger plants.

Why do we build our planters this rugged? Simple! Our designs are based on the wet conditions of the Pacific Northwest that require our planters to withstand heavy water logging and constant exposure to the environments. As such, our planters also all include pre-drilled drainage holes for optimal plant health.

Each planter is made from 100% acacia wood, a tropical hardwood that is durable and resists rot. Featuring dark and light notes, it is an attractive wood that will slowly patina to a gray and silver color over time with exposure to sun and UV. For those who prefer to keep the original color, we recommend staining or treating wood prior to using.

Villa Acacia is committed to designing and creating products that are environmentally sensitive and carbon neutral. In addition, we are also partnered with the NFF (National Forestry Foundation) that works in conjunction with the US Forest Service. Beautiful Acacia Wood – An earthy and beautiful wood, Acacia is a tropical hardwood that is resistant to mold and rot. NOTE: Like teak, Acacia will develop a silver patina as the wood ages. To preserve the color, a stain or wood treatment is required.
Reinforced Square Shape– Comes fully assembled and ready to use. The side is tapered at an angle for a modern touch, while inner wood braces support the outer wall and bottom base. Tested in the rainy Northwest, these planters are guaranteed not to fail or break!
Pre Drilled Drainage Holes – Avoid the hassle of drilling your own holes while keeping your flowers and plants healthy. Water logged roots make for poor growing conditions for most plants, so adequate drainage is key for keeping the right balance for your potted plants.
